I'm 21, (5-12-2012) I've been smoking since I was 14 years old. I know that smoking is bad for you, I've seen all the adds on TV. My Fiancee is about to have her first child and I don't want our child to breath second-hand Smoke. I've never thought about quitting before but I want our child to grow up in the puriest of environments. What are some driving forces you people have found to help you quit?

please I don't want my family to grow up with the same problems my parents and grandparents have delt with.

I don't want my bad decisions to affect my children, and I want to live long enough to have grandchildren.

-thank you in adevance,
soon-to-be parent

Read everything you can about smoking and especially, read Whyquit.com.  About. com has some great personal stories of how people quit.  Its all about stopping smoking and not smoking even one more, ever.  It is free and doesn't take long.  In 72 hours all nicotine is out of your body..  I llike smoking and still do but love not smoking.  Freedom!!
