Breathe California, a lung health non-profit, offers a wide array of local services that address the most important lung health issues facing our communities today. Through grassroots education, advocacy and services, Breathe California fights lung disease, advocates for clean air and advances public health.

We invited Dr. Neil Klepeis to discuss the impact of secondhand smoke in multi-unit housing and apartment units and how to protect non-smokers.

No smoking zones have gone a long way to helping protect smokers from second hand smoke. There are other ways that smokers can help though, the first is to give up but it is/should be a personal choice for an individual to smoke so this cannot be forced upon them.

The second is to educate on alternative ways to satisfy their nicotine craving. One great way to do this is by the use of e cigarettes, sites such as ecigclick.co.uk offer some helpful advice on these particular devices.
