Ten New Smoke-Free Food Establishments Open in County

Elect to Voluntarily Go "Smoke-Free"
The Allegheny County Health Department today reported that ten of eighteen
new restaurants that opened in the County last month have voluntarily
chosen to go smoke-free.
"We are pleased to see that these establishments are taking measures to
protect their employees and customers from secondhand smoke," said County
Health Director Dr. Bruce W. Dixon.
The following smoke-free establishments opened in July: Del’s 80’s Café,
1826 Brownsville Road, Carrick; Spak Brothers, 5107 Penn Avenue,
Bloomfield; Police Station Pizza, 510 Station Street, Bridgeville;
Milestone, 2809 Brownsville Road, Brentwood; Chicken House, 1502 East
Carson Street, South Side; Burger King, 105 Ohio River Boulevard,
Edgeworth; Charley’s Grilled Subs, 120 Fifth Avenue, Downtown; Little
Vinney’s, 321 Camp Hollow Road, West Mifflin; Subway, 1500 Fifth Avenue,
McKeesport; and Honey Moon Restaurant, 2525 Monroeville Boulevard, Suite
#9, Monroeville.
Other new food facilities opening in July included: Scott Dumpling House,
4310 Main Street, Bloomfield; The Rib Castle, 3805 Willow Avenue, Castle
Shannon; Steel Stars Bar & Grill, 316 Sixth Street, McKeesport; Club
Sandwich & Deli/Strictly Business Catering, 711-713 Main Street,
Sharpsburg; Sawa Steak House, 710 Mall Circle Drive, Monroeville; China
King, 300 A14 Monroeville Mall, Monroeville; 1313 Saloon, 1313 Kennedy
Avenue, Duquesne; and Richard Chen, 5996 Penn Circle South, Suite D-101,
East Liberty.
Additional new food establishments were Emma Mia’s Catering, 2250 Round
Hill Church Road, Elizabeth Township; S’Barro Ice Cream Cart, Two PPG Place
Plaza, Downtown; Questions Night Club, 1900 Smallman Street, Strip
District; Goodies To Go, 1224 James Street, Monroeville; and Oasis African
Food Market, 4108 Clairton Boulevard, Brentwood.
